Loreal Cleanser Reveiw

Hey there readers,
I'm really sorry I have'nt posted in a long time but I'm going to try to get back into the flow of blogging. But anyway, today I'm going to be doing a reveiw on my favourite clenser; the Loreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution. Thats quite a long name but its basicly a water based clesanser.

In Boots  it retails for £4.99 and the same again in Superdrug. I think this a really great price as you get a lot of product and a little goes far.

The way i use this, is I tip a little bit on to a cotton pad then use it like a wipe. It's a very easy full proof way of removing your makeup. I love it so much that I'm now on my second bottle of this stuff.

It promises to do three things:
1. 'Dissolves make-up'
2. 'Unclogs pores and removes impurities'
3. 'Tones and Smoothes skin'

It's suitable for sensitive skin and you can use it for face, eyes and lips. Although, they do have a version for just eyes and lips if you prefer your face cleanser to be different to your eye cleanser. But, I dont see the point as this removes eye makeup perfectly.

I hope this blog post was useful and once agian, I promise I will start blogging more regularly

Sorry :(

Hey There Readers,
This is just a little post to apologize for not posting regularly. I've had loads of homework recently and going back to school has been really stressful. Don't worry I'm not going to stop posting any time soon. I’ve decided that I will upload a new post every Saturday.
 Thanks,

This or That? Beauty Tag

Hey there readers,

I've decided today I'm going to do a more beauty related post. I got the idea to do the 'This or That? Beauty Tag' from Emily Emerald and her blog.

Makeup

Blusher or Bronzer? To be perfectly honest I don't really wear either.

Lipgloss or Lipstick? Lipglos I guess but, most the time I prefer to wear a tinted lip balm. I love Baby Lips by Maybelline!

Eye Liner or Mascara? Definitely mascara because I really struggle to put eyeliner on my eyelids (waterline is easy for me). So it's very rare when it looks good enough to go with it on.

Foundation or Concealer? Hmmm it would probably have to be foundation but only a light one (see my foundation routine blog post for more info).

Neutral or Coloured Eyeshadow? I rarely wear eyeshadow but, if i do its always neutral as coloured eyeshadow can be quite risky.

Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow? I've never tried loose eyeshadow because to me it seems like a pain to use as can get messy if you spill it. No one wants brown eyeshadow on their bedroom carpet!

Brushes or Sponges? I've never tried using a sponge for my makeup because I love Real Techniques brushes so much.

Body

Perfume or Body Splash? I've never really used a body splash so I guess perfume.

Lotion or Body Butter? Body butter ,I suppose, but I use both.

Body Wash or Soap? Body wash all the way! Soap is so boring; you can get so many different scents of body wash. I love the Original Source body washes.

Lush or Other Bath Company? LUSH!!! I don’t have many lush products but what I do have is great.

Fashion

Jeans or Sweatpants? Definitely jeans but, I only wear skinny jeans because I prefer the fit of them opposed to straight leg or bootleg jeans.

Long Sleeve or Short Sleeve? Short sleeve because there are more style of short sleeved t-shirts.

Dresses or Skirts? A couple of months ago I would of said neither but, now I love wearing skirts and dresses! I'd probably say I prefer dresses just because they're easier to style. Although, I'm not the type of girl who will wear a dress with pumps or sandals. I will usually wear dresses with Converse or Doc Martians (I don't have real Doc Martians yet; just fake ones).

Stripes or Plaid? I don't really wear either, I'm more of a spots kind of girl.

Flip-flops or Sandals? I don't own any sandals but, I only wear flip-flops round the house.

Scarves or Hats? I love scarves weather it's thick ones in the winter or thin ones in the summer.

Studs or Dangly Earrings?  Studs.  At the school I go to we are only allowed to wear studs. Dangly earrings irritate me anyway.

Necklaces or Bracelets? It would have to be bracelets but, just the rope or string one s you find at markets.

Heels or Flats? I hate heels! I don't mind the way they look; they just hurt so much when I wear them.

Jacket or Hoodie? Usually I'll wear jackets. Although, hoddies are great to wear around the house.

Hair

Curly or Straight? Straight because it takes forever to curl my hair. However, I will often wave my hair with straighteners.

Bun or Ponytail? Bun because it looks like you've put more effort in but it's just as easy as a ponytail.

Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Definitely bobby pins; they're so useful. Nevertheless, I still lose them.

Hairspray or Gel? I never use gel as it seems so much easier to just use hairspray.

Long or Short? For me it's short but short hair doesn't suit everyone.

Light or Dark? I have dark brown hair; I like it on me but I don't dislike other hair colours.

Side-swept or Full Fringe? I've had both and definitely prefer having a side-swept fringe.

Up or Down? I don't really have a preference.

Random

Rain or Shine? Shine because it makes me feel happy (wow that sounds cheesy).

Summer or Winter? Although I love Christmas, It has to be summer because I hate snow.

Autumn or Spring? Spring!! Because my birthday is at the end of spring.

Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate is the best invention ever.

My Foundation Routine

Hey there readers,
Today I'm going to talk about my foundation routine and give a small reveiw on each product.

The foundation I use is the Bourjois Paris- healthy mix serum. In Boots it retails for £10.99 which, I think is quite expensive for drugstore foundation. Although, I would still definetly repurchase it. I have the colour 53- light beige. This happens to be pretty much my perfect shade. I think there shade range is okay; it could acomidate for darker skin tones. I would say it has a light to medium covergae perfect for teenagers or makeup beguinners. It gives a nice jewy finish; perfect for the sumer. Overall I would say this is a really great foundation.

The bruh I use to apply my foundation is the Real Techniques (by Samantha Chapman) Expert Face Brush. in Boots it costs £9.99 but, I think it's a bit cheaper in Superdrug. It's a quite unique shape for foundation brush but, I think it's perfect. It's shape and size means you can have prcision and can buff your foundation into your skin perfectly. I find it really soft and comfy to use. Also, it works to blend in concealer. After trying it, I would never use any other foundation brush.

My concealer that I use is the cult drugstore concealer-  Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. The price in Boots is £4.19 (random price). This is a realy high coverage concealer perfect for blemishs and under eye circles. Sometimes I won't where foundation and just where this and powder. The shade have is Light 2. Unfortunately, the only have three different shades: Fiar 1, Light 2 and Medium 3. Honestly, I think the shade selection is poor and limited but, luckly there is a shade that works for me. Even so, I really like this concealer.

There's not much to say about my powder- it's just £1.99 from Natural Collection. It's a pressed powder and I have it in the shade Neutral. I just buy it because I'm on a budget and it works for me.

I hope you find some this info useful.

Book Reveiw- Geek Girl

Hey there readers,

Today I'm going to do a book review on Geek Girl by Holly Smale. The main character is called Harriet Manners and as you would have guessed by the title, she is a 'geek'. No one at school likes her and she only has her best friend Nat to rely on. So when she has the opportunity to reinvent herself she grabs the chance.

I really love this story as it is very witty and has some good morals projecting through the book. It's a funny easy read that most teenage girls can relate to.

The book is rated for 11+ years which i think is fair rating.

I've found out that there is a sequel coming soon called Geek Girl is back

Thanks for reading,
 Ellie
